Bollywood Garam: After romancing some of Bollywood’s biggest actors like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, actress Asin is now all set to star opposite the King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan. The actress is likely to be the main lead in the movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s book titled ‘2 States’.
The story is about a couple who belong to different states in India and their struggle to convince their parents that they are interested in marriage. Krish (SRK) belongs to Punjab, while Ananya (Asin) belongs to Tamil Nadu. In the movie, the couple meet while they studied in IIM Ahmedabad. Krish and Ananya wish to get married, but their cultural differences make them struggle to convince their parents.
The movie will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Sajid and Bhardwaj had already chosen Asin for the role and thought that she would be the best one to do justice to the role.
The ‘Ghajini’ actress, who is currently working on the sequel of Housefull, has reportedly agreed to the deal. Till now, no official announcement has been made by the production team. With Shahrukh in the movie, Asin is beleaguered to be extremely excited about the project. If the pair works out, it would be interesting for the fans of Chetan Bhagat to watch his autobiographical book turn live.
