Instant video service Amazon Prime Video has been launched in India to fulfill the needs of video content. The new video app will be competing with the existing competitors in the market like ‘Hotstar’ and ‘Netflix’.
The launch event saw the presence of Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar and Vikas Bahl. At present the Amazon Prime Video costs Rs. 42 per month with the service costing Rs. 499 per year in India which is an introductory price.
The cost will increase to Rs. 999 next year and will cost Rs. 84 per month. The service has listed movies of different genres like action, comedy, drama, crime, animation and romance.
