BollywoodGaram.com: Kathak dancer Ragini Makkhar and her troupe Naadyog won the title on the India’s Got Talent show. The Indore-based dance group impressed the judges from the very beginning and stood out from other competitors thanks to their innovative concepts.

Makkhar said, “I had never expected that we would be able to make it finally. I was confident about our talent, but the victory was unexpected.” The dancer also said that she made sure that the rich tradition of Kathak was maintained, along with innovative concepts. Ragini thanked the audience and her husband for believing in her.

The dance group featured women of various age groups and received a prize worth Rs. 50 lakh, a car and the trophy. The ‘Gulaab Gang’ stars Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla presented the trophy to the winners. Juhi and Madhuri were on the show as guests. While talking about the prize money, Makkhar said that it will be used for establishing a good dance institute for poor girls who want to learn the dance form.

Makkhar expressed that she wishes to choreograph for Bollywood as well. The Indore-based dancer went on to say that she did not watch any movies in these 11 years as she was so dedicated to her institute.
